La Piagne
La Piagne è un vigneto che sorge sui terrazzamenti costruiti sulle pendici ai piedi del Monte Bianco tra i 920 e i 1200 metri di altitudine.
Le viti sono coltivate su pergole basse, sorrette da palature in legno e pietra.
La nascita di questo vigneto posto a nord ovest del paese, potrebbe risalire al XIX secolo. Un’attestazione scritta del 1856 ne dà testimonianza.
Nelle vigne di La Piagne, di proprietà della Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et La Salle, si coltiva il prié blanc, vitigno autoctono da cui nasce l’omonimo vino. Grazie alla collaborazione tra il Comune di Morgex e la Cave Mont Blanc, nel 2015, il vigneto è stato oggetto di manutenzione straordinaria, nell’ambito del Progetto “Route des vignobles alpins” finanziato nell’ambito del Programma di Cooperazione transfrontaliera Italia/Francia 2014/2020 (FESR).
La Piagne ospita eventi e manifestazioni di promozione del territorio e dei suoi prodotti locali.
